Robert K Fox Memorial

Robert K Fox, the fourth son of Ruth P. Fox (Brown) and the late George Ainsley Fox, was born on December 18, 1959 in Lancaster, California. He married Zelta Runyon Wideman on August 13, 1983, adopting her son, Steven Lee Wideman II, and subsequently had three addtional children: George Andrew, Susanne Ruth, and Robert Ronnell. In 1994, Robert joined the United States Navy Reserves, stationed in Port Hueneme, California, where he served his country as a Petty Officer Second Class - Construction Mechanic for two years and was honorably discharged. Robert was a mechanic working for the Southern California Edison Company in Lancaster, California from 1987-1996. Robert moved his family to the Portland area in 1996 and later took the position of Fire Apparatus Technician for the Tualitin Valley Fire & Rescue. In 2009 Robert changed careers working for A&E Service/Sears as a Service Technician. Robert was loved by all - near and far - making friends wherever he went. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin, and friend. Robert, better known as "Bob" or "Rob", enjoyed target shooting with his sons and grandson and was looking forward to hunting this fall. Some of his favorite sayings were "Don't do that, it hurts", "Smells like Roses", "I can't believe I soaked my pad". On Sunday, June 3, 2012, Robert departed this life. He leaves to cherish him memory, his mother Ruth Fox; his wife, Zelta Fox; his four children: Steven, stationed in Fort Sill, Oklahoma, George Andrew Fox and wife Kirsten of Albany, Oregon, Susanne Thielman and husband Tristan of Lynnwood, Washington, and Robert Fox, stationed in Camp Carroll, South Korea; his three brothers: George Fox and wife Sharon of Jacksonville, Oregon, Martin Fox of Concord, California, and Jeffrey Fox and partner Robert Harbin McGee of Nipomo, California; three granchildren: Garrett, Lorelai, and Melanie; and a host of in-laws, nieces and nephews, other relatives and countless friends.
